Course Objectives:
A boundary is a limit or edge that defines you as an individual, separate from others. A boundary is a limit that protects you. Boundaries bring order to our lives. They empower us to determine how we’ll be treated by others. When a boundary is breached, we become vulnerable to harm. When someone crosses our limits by being thoughtless or through their actions, we call it a boundary violation. Boundaries begin to form in infancy. We learn about our boundaries by the way we are treated as children. Then we teach others where our boundaries are by the way we let them treat us.
What the students will learn from this course:
- Boundary errors
- Boundary violations
- Time Boundaries
- Professional Boundaries
- Information Boundaries
- Maintaining positive boundaries
