Strategy II: Look for Commonalities

Human beings, no matter how different in background, share some common values and needs. These commonalities serve as a foundation for shared understanding and building good personal and business relationships. In strategy 1 the focus was on uncovering differences. We still need to remember to look for the things we share. With the skills in strategy II, we can find commonalities:

Between ourselves and a staff member, client, colleague or coworker… even someone we are meeting for the first time.
