Concept of Normalcy


The Reasonable and Prudent Parent Standard may assist Caregivers in developing:
1. Reasonable disciplinary measures (telephone restrictions are subject to social worker/probation officer review).
2. Limitations on the length/time of telephone calls to ensure that everyone has equal access to the phone and that telephone usage does not infringe upon the rights of others.
3. House rules for the protection of a child.
4. Needs and services plan requirements.

The Reasonable and Prudent Parent Standard Does Not Allow a Caregiver to:
